Class Location: Computer classes will be taught at the Continuing Education Center, located in the Town Hall Annex or at one of the schools.

The Lab Features
Microsoft Office 2016 is available. Call about prior versions. New computers & 42" demonstration monitors.
Skilled, knowledgeable teachers. Classes use Dell computers.
Adobe Photoshop Elements 18 is available. Class limit 6. Comfortable environment.
Hands-on DSL Internet stations on all computers. Wireless available. Call if you are bringing your own laptop.

The Instructors:

Peggy Bruno, a certified teacher, has trained adults in computer applications for many years. She has developed computer courses and trained thousands of adults in computer applications over a 25 year period. She previously worked in corporate marketing and information services. She has also taught Microsoft Office at the community college level. She holds a BA and MA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Eileen Burton has taught numerous classes about eBay using experience gained from selling items there from her collectibles business. She also shares her results of extensive research by teaching courses in iPhone, iPad, genealogy, and related subjects over a period of many years with Continuing Education.

Lizabeth Doty, a professional educator for over 45 years, has trained students in business applications including word processing and database/spreadsheet management as well as courses in office procedures. She is a Ridgefield resident and is currently Wilton’s Coordinator for Senior Activities. She holds a BS and MA from New York University and an MA from Holy Apostles College, and a NY Superintendent's Certification.

Deborah Tual is a professional photographer with over 25 years of experience. She loves sharing her expertise about how images can be edited, enhanced, and used creatively to express an artistic vision. 

Lance Whitney is a freelance writer for Time, AARP Magazine, PC Magazine, and other websites and publications. He’s written books on Windows 8 and LinkedIn. Previous, he was a system administrator and trainer with Ciba Specialty Chemicals. He’s taught a variety of continuing education courses at Ridgefield Continuing Education for several years.

Workbook/Textbook Fees:

Some of the computer courses use workbooks. The workbooks provide information that will be useful to you after you complete the class. The instructor will collect the text fees at the first class. The cost usually $3 to $7 per workbook.
