How to Sell Items on eBay
You have used or collectible items that you’d like to try selling through eBay but aren’t sure how to get started. This class can help. You’ll learn how to set up accounts with eBay and PayPal and how to price and prepare the right items for sale. You’ll also discover how to list your items to increase your chances of a sale, how to work with buyers, how to ship your items, and how to deal with any problems that arise. Technology journalist and eBay seller Lance Whitney will show you the tricks and techniques for successful selling on eBay. This class will show you the steps needed to create a LinkedIn profile to promote your professional achievements. Whether you already have a profile that you started but never completed or you need help creating one, this course will offer the knowledge you need to succeed with LinkedIn. Beyond creating your profile, you’ll learn how to build your network by connecting with other professionals. We’ll also cover the steps for posting updates, following other people, asking for recommendations, and joining specialized groups. Learn to how to customize your Start menu and desktop, how to use the Windows 10 Edge browser, how to personalize Windows 10 though its array of settings, how to speak to Windows 10 using the Cortana voice assistant, and how to shop for apps at the Windows Store. This introductory course covers the concepts and terminology needed to get you googling and searching the web for specific information, as well as to download information and pictures. Then we cover creating, sending, saving, and printing Gmail (google emails), including attaching files and images to your outgoing email (including images from the Internet), save, and print. Prior use of the mouse and knowledge of the keyboard is required. Bring your email password with you. Instructor Peggy Bruno, a certified teacher, has trained adults in computer applications for many years. She has developed computer courses and trained thousands of adults in computer applications over a 25 year period. She previously worked in corporate marketing and information services. She has also taught Microsoft Office at the community college level. She holds a BA and MA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

This course will teach you how to plan and create you very own blog and podcast. Through hands-on exercises, you will discover the benefits of using free web tools like Blogger, WordPress, Audacity, and YouTube. You will find that creating a blog and podcast is much easier than you ever imagined. First, you will learn how to develop a plan for the content, setup, maintenance, and how to use free blogging software like Blogger and WordPress to put that plan into action. After that, learn how to record a professional-sounding audio podcast with a very simple recording tool you already have. You will edit the file with another free software program, add music to it, and then post it online for others to enjoy. Finally, you will find out how to record a video podcast. You will edit it, add special effects, drop in a podcasting-safe music file, and then publish it online. Taught by technical author Richard Mansfield.
