Class Location: Computer classes and tutorials will be taught by the instructor at the Continuing Education Center, located in the Town Hall Annex or at one of the schools. Some classes may be taught live, online via Zoom.

Excel 365, 2021 and 2019 are available on our PC's. If you have 365 (or 2021, 2019 or 2016) on a laptop, please bring it. Instructor projects using 365/2021.

Word and Excel Basics - Level 1
Prerequisite: Basic computer skills and knowledge of the keyboard. For people who need to fill basic computer skills gaps’ and learn how to get started using Word and Excel. Learn to create and edit simple letters and spreadsheets using Word and Excel. Includes copy, cut, paste, open, save vs saveas, print, margins and beginning formulas. We will also cover basic file management, find files, create folders and desktop shortcuts. Instructor Peggy Bruno, a certified teacher, has developed computer courses and trained several thousand adults in computer applications for over 25 years. She previously worked in corporate marketing and information services. She has also taught Microsoft Office at the community college level. She holds a BA and MA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Excel for Windows 2021 / 365 - Fast Paced Intro - Level 2
Prerequisite: Word and Excel Basics - Level 1 above or equivalent. For people who have used Excel in the past and need to fill in basic gaps. Learn to create, update, and format worksheets and charts. Quickly reviews cut, copy, paste, move, drag and fill, and delete. Includes special print options, save, open file, fonts, decimal, $ and % formatting, borders, shading, shortcut menus, right clicking, format painter, freezing titles. Prerequisite: Introduction to Excel (above) or equivalent experience. Exercises focus on practice with formulas; calculations; linking sheets and workbooks; relative, absolute, and mixed cell references. Prerequisite: Introduction to Excel (above) or equivalent experience. Covers NPV, FV, and PMT functions, goal seeking, and additional chart types. Also covers cell protection, customizing tool bars, templates, and smart tags. Exercises cover Excel pivot tables and charts, database and table management features (sort, filters, subtotals), plus bringing data from Microsoft Access into Excel. Prerequisite: Intermediate Excel, part 1 or equivalent experience. Exercises cover Flash Fill. Also includes V Lookup, if statements, CountIf, SumIf, and scenarios. Access for Windows - 1 on 1 Course
Prerequisite: Basic computer skills. Experience with Excel helpful. Beginners learn to develop and manage a relational database. Step by step exercises teach you to modify an existing database; plan and design a new database; create and modify tables; sort and filter records; link tables; create and edit basic queries; multi-level sorts in queries; and create quick reports, forms, and labels.
