Class Location: Computer
classes and tutorials will be taught by the instructor at the Continuing Education Center, located in
the Town Hall Annex. Some classes may be taught live, online via Zoom.

Windows 11 Basics
Prerequisite: Basic computer skills. Have your laptop or desktop
PC handy and ease your transition to Windows 10 or 11. Learn how to customize
your Start menu and desktop, how to use the Windows Edge browser, how to personalize
Windows though its array of settings, how to speak to Windows using the Cortana
voice assistant, and how to shop for apps at the Windows Store. Instructor Lance
Whitney is a technology journalist and the author of the book Teach
Yourself Visually LinkedIn. He's also written a book on Windows
8. He currently writes for TechRepublic, ZDNet, PCMag, and other technology sites.
Previously, he was a system administrator with Ciba Specialty Chemicals. He's
taught a variety of continuing education courses at Ridgefield Continuing Education
for several years.
