Total Body Reset
Learn to exercise smarter, not harder with this all in one workout to tone
and tighten your body. Weights (of your choice) will be used to help increase
bone density, tighten flab, and increase metabolism. There will always be a warm
up and a cool down. All levels are welcome. Modifications are always available.
Please have available weights of your choice, towel, mat and water. Instructor
Patricia Anikewich holds many group exercise certifications and teaches at many
Westchester
and Connecticut fitness centers. Make up date,
if needed, is added to an open date or the end of the session (Mondays, 12/19;
1/9, 3/20 or Tuesdays, 12/20; 2/7).

Zumba Express
Zumba Express, a new class this past fall in Ridgefield Continuing Education,
is a FUN dance based workout combined with 2 to 3 toning segments focused on
building cardio endurance and strength training. Choreography is taught at beginner
to advanced levels and includes many dance rhythms including Salsa, Merengue,
Reggaeton, Cha-Cha, Bachata, Swing, Bollywood and Bhangra. Come join the party
and watch the pounds melt away!!! Bring a water bottle and towel. Instructor
Patti Larkin has been teaching Zumba in Westchester County for over 5 years.

Full Body Strength
and Cardio Workout
This classic workout will get you in shape or keep you in shape. Strength
and conditioning exercises are designed to help shed excess fat
while building strength endurance and balance. Cardiovascular (cardio) training
will
promote lean muscle and maintain calorie burn during and after
the workout.
Weights will be used and are suggested. Household items such as
water bottles, cans etc.
are great substitutes! Modifications are always provided by the
instructor. Please have a mat, towel and water available. All levels are welcome!

Danza-Barre
Let's get moving again. This class combines stretching, barre, and easy dance
moves to tone, build endurance, improve your balance and posture, or become a
better social dancer. No dance experience needed. No floor work; every movement
will be done standing or sitting. A sturdy chair is required. Instructor Natalie
Mazzola is a former amateur 10 dance champion, and a teacher for over 20 years
at the Vitti's School of Dance in Danbury, CT. She loves to have fun, and her
no stress attitude toward dance is clear as her students always leave with a
smile!

Line Dance for Beginners
The ideal workout. Burn fat and calories while you are having fun! Do you know
your right from your left, can you count to 8? Then you can line dance! We will
start with the basics and build from there. If you have been to this course before,
come on back, we have new dances lined up for this course. Please bring a water
bottle and wear leather or suede soled shoes. Instructors Steve Parker and Ellen
Russow have been dancing for over 24 years and teaching for over 12.

Simply Stretch with Mary
Gain freedom of movement, move comfortably and reduce pain in this relaxing class
and fun class. Set aside some time for a stretch class that lengthens muscles
and aids in mobility. Move with greater range of motion and less back and body
pain. Students in this class will learn how to stretch those hard to reach muscles
and will learn how to increase flexibility and move with greater range of motion.
The use of dynamic and static stretches will be explored in each class. This
class is for any interested person as modifications are made of each level. Please
bring a yoga mat or towel. Yoga blocks and yoga straps are helpful, but not necessary.
Instructor Mary Sireci, a certified Hatha Yoga and Phys. Ed. teacher, has been
a dedicated yogi for years and is trained in making modifications for individual
needs.

Tai Chi Exercises
Tai Chi Exercises (Beginner): the Natural Way to Promote Health
This class is a meditation in motion and a full body workout combined, all
done standing (no mat). This first class consists of 35 basic Tai Chi exercises
designed to promote better health, stress relief, balance and coordination,
concentration, and internal organ massage. These exercises are based on Step
by Step Tai Chi: the Natural Way to Strength and Healing by Master Lam Kam
Chuen. Please have a set of 2 or 3 pound weights and a water bottle available.
Instructor Rod Barfield, a former NYC teacher, has been doing Tai Chi exercises
since 1994 and has studied the Tai Chi Form under Gwen Roman since Fall 2013.
