Gentle Yoga with Shanta Marshall Ballou ~ Evening
This class will teach you a foundation of yoga poses that you can do anywhere - at anytime! This is the “Integral” yoga style which is a mello, low-key, stress reducing class with light aerobic activity. Suitable for all levels, beginner to advanced. Begins with opening chants, warm-up stretches and sun salutation. 15 plus asanas (poses) will be learned that will be repeated and varied each week. A deep relaxation period, breathing exercises, an introduction to meditation and closing chants follow. Focus is inward to the eternal self and concentration is on a meditative flow and calming the mind and emotions. Please bring a mat, blanket, and throw pillow. Instructor Shanta Marshall Ballou , M.Ed., a certified Integral Yoga teacher has taught in the county since 1997. She has 500 HR trainings in Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga. Other certifications: Macrobiotics, Ayurveda, and Reiki.

Yoga for Everybody with Ann Deiters ~ Evening
Ann Deiters has been teaching Kripalu Yoga in the Ridgefield area for many years, and is a practicing psychotherapist. Ann has taught all levels of yoga to a diverse population, from children to seniors, from beginners to those more familiar with yoga. Ann invites students / practitioners to experience the benefits of yoga through proper breathing, to discover relaxation, and, at the same time, become strong – in body, mind and spirit. Join Ann’s class and learn to incorporate yoga into our everyday lives with yogic breathing (pranayama), postures (asanas), relaxation and meditation. Please bring a mat, a meditation cushion, a large towel or blanket to class. Instructor Ann Deiters has been teaching Kripalu Yoga in the Ridgefield area for many years. Yoga with Stephanie Alana ~ Evening
Classes open with a theme and empower students to bring awareness to posture, alignment and body mechanics. Stephanie offers instructive verbal cues. Meditation is incorporated into each class as breathwork or pranayama. Trendy mantra music creates an atmosphere of retreat and restoration. A brief flow is followed by a floor series to bring on meaningful relaxation and clarity of mind to end your day. Beginner and intermediate level students welcome. Modifications are offered to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all body types. Bring a mat and a tightly woven blanket or towel. Optional second mat for comfort. Taught by Stephanie Alana. Make up, if needed, is 4/3, 25; 6/12 or 13.

Morning Yoga Kickstart with Miriam Zernis ~ Morning
Get your week started with a positive, calm mental attitude and a un-kinked body in this class based on the undiluted, classical and holistic approach to yoga as a complete healing system. Students will move systematically through warmups, sun salutations and a short sequence of powerful poses to tone and strengthen all the muscle groups of the body. A deep and healing guided relaxation at the end of practice leaves you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. This is a timeless, balanced, meditative style for all levels. Please bring a mat and blanket. Instructor Miriam Zernis is an internationally certified Sivananda Yoga Master with 19 years of experience in the teachings of yoga asana and philosophy, a certified Holistic Health Coach, Reiki Master and Kirtan (devotional chanting) artist. Make up date, if needed, is 1/14.

Yoga for Body, Mind & Spirit with Miriam ~ Morning
Get Experience the power of classical yoga on the body, mind, and spirit through guided breath work, sun salutations, a scientifically-designed series of 10-12 poses with variations and a deep guided relaxation that will leave you centered and ready to face your day. This is a well-rounded, meditative class appropriate for all levels of practitioners who enjoy moving at a gentle to moderate pace with an added emphasis on stress relief, positive thinking, and self-empowerment. Please bring a mat, block, and blanket.
