Morning Yoga Kickstart with Miriam Zernis ~ Morning
Get your week started with a positive, calm mental attitude and a un-kinked body in this class based on the undiluted, classical and holistic approach to yoga as a complete healing system. Students will move systematically through warmups, sun salutations and a short sequence of powerful poses to tone and strengthen all the muscle groups of the body. A deep and healing guided relaxation at the end of practice leaves you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Miriam leads a timeless, balanced, meditative style for all levels. Please have a mat, yoga block, and blanket available. Instructor Miriam Zernis is an internationally certified Sivananda Yoga Master with over 20 years of experience in the teachings of yoga asana and philosophy, a certified Holistic Health Coach, Reiki Master and Kirtan (devotional chanting) artist. Make up date, if needed, is added to an open date or the end of the session.

Gentle Morning Yoga for Body, Mind and Spirit with Miriam Zernis ~ Morning
Get your morning started with guided breath work, sun salutations, a series of easy, gentle poses with some variations and a deep guided relaxation that will leave you centered and ready to face your day. This well-rounded, meditative class is appropriate for all levels of practitioners with an added emphasis on stress relief, positive thinking, and self-empowerment. Please have a mat, yoga block, and blanket available. Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Emma Tenley ~ Evening
Focusing on Pranayama (breath) and postures (asanas) to create space in the body, this class combines the beauty of Vinyasa style yoga (gentle flow) and the slow and meditative yin yoga and is designed to help students connect their movements to their breath. Yogis will deepen their practice with sun salutations, backbends, hip and shoulder openers and more. Asanas (poses) will be repeated with variations each week through proper sequencing and class ends with breathing exercises, meditation and deep relaxation. All levels are welcome, beginner to advanced, to come practice mindfulness and yoga. Please have a mat, blocks, blanket or towel, and a water bottle available. Instructor Emma Tenley has been practicing yoga since 2014. She got her 200 HR certification at Three Sisters in NYC and also teaches in South Salem and Norwalk. Make up date, if needed, is added to the end.

Gentle Stretch with Mary Sireci ~ Evening
Stretching is a good way to keep your body mobile, your joints lubricated, and your body feeling free. This class will enable participants to lengthen muscles and release tension. A feel good class for all body types. Please have a mat, a tightly woven blanket or towel, and a water bottle available. Instructor Mary Sireci, a certified Hatha Yoga teacher, has been a dedicated yogi for years and has brought her practice to others to help share the magic of Yoga. She believes that Yoga has physical benefits but also side benefits like acceptance, and commpassion. Mary has been teaching Yoga and Stretch in her Physical Education classes since 1994 and is trained in making modifications for each person's individual needs.

Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep) Workshop with Yoga Master Miriam Zernis - New!
Tuesday, October 27th from 6:30 to 8 p.m. via Zoom -- $15 per person, all students.

In these stressful times, it is important to take time to rest and rejuvenate as we navigate into the last part of the year. Experience the power of Yoga Nidra or "sleep with awareness" which offers a fully guided, systematic method of complete relaxation, holistically addressing the body and mind's physiological, neurological, and subconscious needs. Yoga Nidra can help restore mental peace and encourage general wellness while easing:

After a short lecture, Miriam Zernis will skillfully guide you to finding a direct experience of this wonderful restorative practice.

No yoga experience necessary. Please have a yoga mat, blanket, neck pillow (or a rolled-up towel), and eye covering on hand. Also eat lightly before or after, dim the lights and turn off all devices.
