Fit for Life Workout
(Beginner and Intermediate)
This workout is designed for all fitness levels. Every session will combine cardio and strength training to get you into the best shape ever. Modifications are given so that all members can participate. All you need to bring is water and a mat.

Fit for Life Workout (Advanced)
This workout is designed for participants who work out all the time. Different modalities will be used to challenge the advanced participant. The cardio and strength training will be more intense and focused. The class will be limited in size (4 max) and the teacher will provide the extra equipment needed. All you need to bring is water and a mat.

60 Minute Calorie Burn Workout!
Shed those unwanted winter pounds with this 60 minute workout, guaranteed to get your body Summer ready! Low impact cardio, weight training and core work will help to speed up your metabolism and burn calories. Various equipment (bands, gliders and weights) will be provided by the instructor, Patricia Anikewich. Please bring your own mat and towel. Line Dance

Line Dance for Fun and Exercise: Beginners
The ideal workout. Burn fat and calories while you’re having fun. Do you know your right from your left, can you count to 8? - Then you can line dance! We’ll start with the basics and build from there. If you’ve been to this course before, come on back, we have new dances lined up for this course. Please bring a water bottle and wear leather or suede soled shoes to class. The instructors, Steve Parker and Ellen Russow have been Line dancing for over 20 years and teaching for nearly 10 years.

Zumba®

Zumba® with Toning with Motoko Kuroda
Join the party! This class fuses Latin and International rhythms with easy to follow dance moves to create a fun and energy filled dance workout. ZUMBA® uses the principles of interval fitness training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. Sculpt and tone your body to a variety of styles including Samba, Axé, Salsa, Cumbia, Reggaeton, Flamenco and Belly Dance. No dance experience necessary! Zumba® Toning with small maraca-like Zumba Toning Sticks (1 lb each) is incorporated in the session to boost muscular sculpting and fun. Students should wear comfortable clothing and aerobic style shoes, with good support but little tread on the sole. Bring towel and water bottle. Instructor Motoko Kuroda is a certified Zumba, Zumba Gold, and Zumba Toning instructor with an M.A. in Fitness Management who teaches at several locations in Westchester County.

Why do celebrities and A-listers swear by TOTAL BARRE? It’s an invigorating core workout that will sculpt your arms, tighten your booty and strengthen and lengthen your legs. Bollywood Dance

Bollywood with Anindita Nanda
Anindita Nanda teaches an infusion of Indian bollywood and folk dances to create energetic routines with easy to follow steps, which involve total body conditioning. Popular folk styles like Bhangra, Giddha, Dandia and Bolly moves will be explored and be set to foot tapping music from Indian Cinema. Students should wear comfortable clothing and please note that we will be dancing bare foot (ballet shoes optional). Annita Nanda has a Masters in Dance and Music and has been teaching at several locations in CT, Nevada, and Argentina for over 15 years. She is a performing Master artist, teacher, and choreographer. No class 3/27 or 4/10. Snow day is 4/17 at Branchville.

Detailed Bio:

Anindita, a danseuse par excellence is a rare combination of dancer, classical vocalist, choreographer, teacher, scientist & scholar. She is an accomplished artist of the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra gharana of dancing and is a known name within the Odissi genre. She has a Masters in Indian (Odissi style) Classical Dance from Chandigarh University and Bachelors in Hindustani Classical Vocal from ABGMM, Mumbai, India. She has been learning, performing and teaching Odissi classical dance and Hindustani Vocal and light music, semi-classical, folk and contemporary dances for almost two decadesand in the USA, where she lives at present. Her dance has the excellent blend of sensuous movement, graceful stances and strong defined footwork with absolute control of the rhythm and space. The elaborate choreography’s, fluidity of her movements and intrinsic foot works are trademark of her performances and her creations. She has multiple productions under her belt and has presented Classical Arts not only at national but also at international level.

She is the founder and artistic director of her creative venture, Soortaal, School of Dance and Music located in Danbury CT. Anindita, successfully presented and inaugurated the first International Classical Arts Festival, Natya Tarang, in Danbury, CT in 2011 with visiting Classical Artists from India and around the world. This is one of the first of its kind in Danbury, where she lives and got lot of accolades from the community. This is an annual festival which will showcase such artists in the future, to popularize the classical arts. This festival is annual hosted at the Yale University, New Haven CT

Anindita also writes for premier internet magazines and contributes articles for the local newspapers in Danbury, on the subject of dance, music and culture and much more. She has offered numerous workshops and lecture demonstration in schools, universities and libraries to make Indian classical dance and music accessible at the grass-root level, in the USA trying and building stronger artists for the future. She has sucesssfully established a full time residency program with collaboration with the Marigold Movement Center, Reno, Nevada.


She is a scientist when she is not dancing.

Responding to a calling to promote peace and healing to humanity, she trained passionately becoming a Reiki Master, Chakradance™ Facilitator, Tai Chi Easy™ Practice Leader, and Numerologist.
