German ~ Day

German Beginner, Part 1 and German Intermediate, Part 1 (scroll down) are offered this semester.

Reminder: Advanced registration and payment is required.

German: Beginner, Part 1 ~ Evening
Basic conversation for beginners with a focus on pronunciation, comprehension, vocabulary, and basic grammar. Students should bring the text, Learn German the Fast and Fun Way, 4th Ed (ISBN-13:9781438074955). Instructor Bob Kibel was a Court Interpreter in Spanish and German for the Connecticut State court system for over 25 years. He is multi-lingual and teaches German, Spanish, and English, having lived and been educated in the Dominican Republic and Austria for a number of years. He also taught languages at the German School of CT and local colleges and Berlitz for many years.

A continuation of the Spring 2018 class. Newcomers with a little experience may join. Students should bring the text, Learn German the Fast and Fun Way, 4th Ed (ISBN-13:9781438074955). German: Intermediate, Part 1 ~ Day
Building on what we have learned in previous semesters, we will expand our knowledge of German using the text, Learn German the Fast and Fun Way (ISBN-13:9781438074955), which students should bring to class, as a supplement. Newcomers with a basic knowledge of German (i.e. Beginners classes here or equivalent) who can hold a simple conversation and wish to gain fluency in everyday conversation are welcome. This course emphasizes conversation, vocabulary and grammar strengthening, pronunciation, and reading (text and supplementary articles) geared toward mastery of everyday language and common travel situations.
