Calasanz Kickboxing has become the exercise of choice for many who are searching for a fun way to exercise and get into shape. This no contact, non-competitive kickboxing course is designed to help improve your strength, flexibility and endurance. You learn the basics of kickboxing - punching, kicking, blocking, evasion techniques, as well as stretching and conditioning exercises. You'll enjoy relieving the tension of the day by practicing the combinations you learn on striking targets and pads. You'll also be taught how to use the basic techniques you've learned in self-defense situations. This class is suitable for men and women of all ages!! Required Course Material: Exercise manual Creating the Body You Want, by Calasanz and Cathy Cash Spellman ($20.00 fee payable to instructor at 1st class). Instructor Chris Overton has extensive experience in the martial arts and has taught for several years. He is currently the chief instructor and director of Calasanz Physical Arts.
